Novena to St. Joseph

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Saint Joseph, glorious patriarch, today I choose you as my protector. I will honor and love you, as Jesus and Mary honored you. Accept this promise and grant that I may always be worthy of your protection and help. Obtain for me the grace from Jesus Christ that I may always remain steadfast in the faith, devoted to the will of God, diligent and conscientious in fulfilling my duties, and especially that I may complete my life in God's grace.

Saint Joseph, faithful protector of our Savior and of the Blessed Virgin Mary, to you I entrust all that I am and all that I have. For your deep humility and meekness, for your perfect patience and obedience, I beg you, strengthen me in spiritual and bodily sufferings, be my counsel and my strength. Be my counselor in doubts, protect me in temptations, comfort me in the trials of life, but especially stand by me in the anguish of the final struggle, when I shall be departing from this world. Defend me at that moment and obtain for me the grace that, like you, I may die in peace. Amen.

Meditate, give thanks, and ask:

His fidelity to the grace entrusted to him. Meditate on this for at least a minute, thank God, and ask Him, through the intercession of Saint Joseph, to grant you the gift of fidelity to your vocation.
